Our Favorite 2012 Super Bowl Commercials

Did you watch the Super Bowl this year? Did you enjoy it? Did you eat too many spicy chicken wings, ribs, chips and drank too many beers? Did you call off from work Monday morning?

I’ve been watching the Super Bowl for a few years now and I’ve always enjoy my evening so far. It’s not necessarily that I’m such a big fan of football, but it’s more that I think it’s a good excuse to get together with a bunch of friends and have fun. We do that a lot during summer time, but it’s always nice to have an excuse to turn on the BBQ at least once during winter time.

And it’s also nice to watch the crazy Super Bowl commercials that are sometimes like small blockbuster movies. It’s nuts how much money companies put in those commercials, which normally gives funny and impressive quality commercials. And this is in addition to the $2,800,000 that a 30 second commercial during the event costs. So here are my favourite Super Bowl commercials this year.

First of all I think that the GM one for the launch of the new Chevy Sonic is pretty cool. Just to think that they’ve done all these stunts with the car is pretty impressive.

I also really like the Budweiser one where they’ve turned a local hockey game into a big hockey event with fans, a mascot, commentators, screens and more. It’s nice to see that they are able to do something else than the normal beer commercials with half-naked women.

And finally, as a women I cannot go without noticing the H&M one with David Beckham. I know I just complained about the sexist beer commercials, but it’s so rare that we see one with a half-naked guy. Enjoy girls! Is it me or is he getting cuter as he’s getting older?
